Pedagogy

Saints Classical Academy is rooted in the classical Christian tradition and shaped by the following core principles:

1. Classical Education Model

  • Saints Classical Academy follows the classical trivium: grammar, logic, and rhetoric stages.
  • Emphasis is placed on the seven liberal arts, cultivating a well-rounded intellectual foundation through literature, language, history, math, science, and the fine arts.
  • Students are trained not merely in content, but in the tools of learning, enabling them to think critically, reason persuasively, and communicate effectively.

2. Biblical Worldview Integration

  • Every subject is taught through the lens of Scripture, with the goal of cultivating wisdom and virtue.
  • The school emphasizes the sovereignty of God over all knowledge and aims to restore a vision of education that directs students to truth, goodness, and beauty as found in Christ.

3. Parent Partnership

  • Saints Classical operates as a homeschool tutorial, viewing parents as the primary educators.
  • The academy exists to support, not replace, the role of the family in education. Communication, trust, and shared discipleship are vital.

4. Charlotte Mason Influence

  • Inspired by Mason's philosophy, the pedagogy includes habit formation, living books, narration, nature study, and cultivating attention and wonder.
  • Students are treated as persons, not products—encouraged to love learning, form connections, and delight in ideas.

5. Formation Over Information

  • Education at Saints Classical is not just about academic achievement; it is about forming whole persons—with attention to moral imagination, self-discipline, resilience, and curiosity.
  • The school seeks to cultivate leadership, integrity, and a commitment to truth over conformity.

6. Community-Centered Learning

  • Through morning assemblies, hymns, recitations, events, and collaborative projects, the academy builds a culture of fellowship and shared pursuit of virtue.
  • Saints Classical aims to foster multi-generational community and inter-student discipleship.

We exist to raise up sound minds and whole souls—future leaders and thinkers—through a Christ-centered, classical model rooted in the liberal arts and Biblical truth.

We believe education is not merely academic, but a holy calling to form students who love what is true, do what is good, and delight in what is beautiful. Our vision is to see schools like Saints Classical planted in churches across the nation and the world, equipping families and communities to reclaim the formative power of education and cultivate the next generation of courageous, thoughtful, and faithful leaders.
